You Can Always Learn

11/19/18

Last week was interesting in that I held another interview and I had a speech to present. My interview went very well. The Interview was all about the Rosenberg experiments and just getting a greater understanding of the amyloid plaques. Looking into how UT Southwestern ran experiments and how they would get the money to fund those said experiments was exciting to look into. Before I went to the interview, I was not exactly sure as to why I needed another interview, and why my mentor recommended me to do it, but once I was there and I started talking to the doctor I was astonished how much more there was to understand. The other big event of last week was the speech, as I mentioned earlier. Unfortunately, this week school was pushing me every which way so I did not get to prepare for my speech as well as I would’ve liked. In the end I think it came out alright, some aspects needed some adjusting. However, overall, it was fine. Next time, I think I should plan my speeches earlier, so I won’t feel rushed and upset for my work feeling a little incomplete. I’m not too disappointed because there is always a next time. It is just I have to make sure that I put in that effort when given a second chance.
