BIOGRAPHY
My name is Merlyn George and I am a senior at Liberty High School. I have joined ISM this year (2018-2019) to learn more on my area of interest, neurology, and build up my professionalism as a future doctor. I am a diligent learner and am eager to understand more about the intricacies of the nervous system and how it shapes the way we live mentally and physically. I would also love to engage in research to aid in discovering the mysteries of the brain. Outside of ISM, I am part of Liberty’s Varsity Choir, and am the Secretary of my school’s UNICEF chapter. I also am a member of HOSA, National Honor Society, and MGOCSM, a church volunteer group.

Through the Independent Study and Mentorship (ISM) program, my mission is to put myself out of my comfort zone. I believe ISM will lead me to my confidence. Additionally, I want to explore and understand more about my area of interest, neuroscience, with the help of a mentor. I plan to turn out an amazing final project and come out wiser and more prepared for the future.
